Don’t make me angry: dissecting the inner Hulk   - “The Incredible Hulk”

In this talk we put the Incredible Hulk on the couch and see what makes his dual personality tick and how Rhythm and Hues tried to deal with the green monster’s physical and emotional issues.
For the “Hulk-out” effect from Bruce Banner to the Hulk it was necessary to transition between two completely different characters in terms of fotransformation rig was provided to the animator who then could control the timing of when and how each individual part of the body transformed.
To create a smooth work flow a very tight integration of rigging, animation, and lighting was required. For that purpose a rig could produce animated lighting controls that were, for example, based on skin compression and stretching.r example size and proportions. To achieve this, a single transformation rig was provided to the animator who then could control the timing of when and how each individual part of the body transformed.

Ari Shapiro will discuss the following:

They crack horses, don’t they?    -  “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon”

“A common story element in modern films is to have the statue of a creature made of stone or metal suddenly come to life and act like the animal or creature that the statue portrayed.
For ” The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”, Rhythm & Hues has created the visual effect of a bronze statue of a horse coming to life, while retaining
its statue-like appearance by retaining the look of cracked metal.”
