Join us at Siggraph 2008|Los Angeles Booth 1047 to meet Disney Artists and Engineers, experience technology demonstrations, hear about our student programs and see the latest from our upcoming projects!
Portfolio & Reel reviews will be offered on Tuesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 13 where individual critiques can offer insight and guidance. Limited tickets will be handed out at the booth each morning starting at 10am.

Panel Discussion: "A Tribute to Frank and Ollie" presented by Animation Mentor

A panel discussion and tribute to the life, work and inspiration of Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, two of Disney's famed Nine Old Men. This event includes a conversation about animation with contemporary animation legends from Disney Studios, DreamWorks Animation SKG, and others who were inspired by the masters. The panel will be followed by a short documentary by Animation Mentor.
Talk: “Disney and Pixar: Two Animation Studios Reveal the Secrets of Their Shorts”

Paper: "A Mass Spring Model for Hair Simulation"

The goal of this project is to simulate the full hair geometry, consisting of approximately 100,000 hairs on a typical human head.
